Oops! We Invaded Wrong Country!

Reports reveal that President meant to attack Saudi Arabia, not Iraq

Sources close to the White House have revealed the shocking truth about the 28 "classified" pages from the 9/11 report. According to sources, the missing pages of the report are said to confirm that the U.S. invaded the wrong country.

It now appears that the President had intended to retaliate against Saudi Arabia, which funded the 9/11 hijackers and provided logistical assistance. However, in an almost inconceivable error, the President ordered U.S. troops to invade Iraq instead of Saudi Arabia.

"How could anyone confuse Iraq and Saudi Arabia," said an outraged Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.). "This is certainly grounds for impeachment."

The White House response came from White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan.

Similar Countries "Obviously, I can't comment on the content of the classified pages," said McClellan. "However, Iraq and Saudi Arabia are fairly close together and on the map, they look very similar. Both are tan colored and unusually shaped. They're both occupied by Arab-looking people who wear those sheets and towels and head bands and ride around on camels."

If true, the mistake is baffling, simply because of its magnitude. Whether the error rises to the level of an impeachable offense is subject to debate by Republican supporters of President Bush.

"So, we invaded the wrong country," said an indignant Congressman Tom DeLay (R-Texas). "Quit acting like someone had sex in the White House."

"I think it just means we have to try harder next time," said National Security Advisor Condeleeza Rice adding, "Besides, everyone makes mistakes."
