Neil Bush Working For Chinese

With unemployment rising, President's black sheep brother finds a plum job

Neil Bush, the brother of the President, is doing his part to bridge the trade gap between the U.S. and China. During the course of his nasty divorce, it was revealed that Bush has entered into a contract to provide "consulting services" to a Chinese semiconductor firm.

What's amazing about the contract is that, by his own admission, Neil Bush knows nothing about semiconductors. He told one reporter that he first thought a "semiconductor" was someone who "sort of, helped the conductor drive the train."

Bush's ignorance about computer chips didn't disuade the Chinese firm, however, from lavishing a contract on Bush to provide his expert advice to them in exchange for $2,000,000 of consulting fees. In addition, for every board meeting Mr. Bush attends, he will receive an additional $10,000.

Exactly why the Chinese firm was interested in securing Bush's services has yet to be made clear. After all, this is the same Neil Bush who served on the board of Silverado Savings & Loan, the collapse of which cost the American public $1.3 billion. And Bush wasn't just a passive director. He was instrumental in securing hundreds of millions of dollars of loans for two of his former business associates who, in turn, used part of the money to buy Neil Bush's company and to pay Bush a salary.

"Neil eats Thanksgiving dinner with the President," said one source, who requested to remain anonymous. "That's all the Chinese needed to convince them he was right for the kind of 'consulting' they had in mind."

The Chinese are simply hoping that their new charge will help to convince his brother that the trade gap with their country could stand to be a little larger, especially since the Chinese want to send more semiconductors to the United States."

"Neil Bush knows how the capitalist system really operates, friends scratching the backs of friends," said the anonymous source. "Plus, he is the President's brother."
